Deborah Biggs Music Tuition

"Debs is beyond patient, and manages to get the best out of each of my children (no matter how bad a day they've had at school). Her teaching is second to none and we wouldn't want anybody else teaching our two. They have continued to learn and improve even through lockdown due to Debs' willingness to embrace online learning (which we know can't be easy!) and both have recently achieved ABRSM passes at merit level.'
Helen J, Brampton

"I have been with Debbie's music school learning the clarinet for just over 1 year. I have found her to be a very good teacher on the theoretical side as well as the practical. She is very patient and understanding but the words 'cannot do' are not in her vocabulary so one will succeed in the end. Her fees are very reasonable with the great added bonue of her travelling to you rather than you visit her.
Debbie is also very accomplished on the piano, trumpet and saxophone and I would have no hesitation in recommending her."
Roger Setchfield, Catworth

"Debs has been my daughter's clarinet teacher from grades 5-8. She is encouraging, patient, enthusiastic and incredibly talented. She has brought my daughter's skills on, through the ups and downs, and yet still they come out from the lesson both laughing! I highly recommend her!"
Lorraine Brooks, Sawtry

"I would definitely recommend Deborah Biggs. She is a fun and talented music teacher who is equally brilliant with adults and children. My children and I look forward to our lessons which are a continuing incentive to practise hard during the week!"
Anna Jackson, Cambourne

"Debs is a great teacher who quickly becomes a friend. She is always encouraging and has given me the confidence to join a band, not to worry about difficult phrases which are over in 2 seconds, and to find techniques to overcome difficulties. As a very 'senior' pupil I appreciate her energy, enthusiasm and professionalism and have no hesitation in recommending her. She treats each pupil as an individual, is sensitive to particular needs and ambitions and is always generous with her time. She is a real inspiration and I feel extremely fortunate to have found her!"
Janet Mills, Comberton

"My daughter Sabina has come on leaps and bounds since Debbie started to teach her and really looks forward to her lesson. Debbie gives such confidence and self-belief when she teaches, and adds the elemend of fun to each lesson. Life would be so dull without her weekly visits"
Sue Ray, Wistow

"Debbie has been teaching my child for two and a half years from a very beginner. She is very patient, dedicated and always full of energy. She understands the requirements and standards of ABRSM exams very well and always prepares him well for his exams. She goes beyond the call of duty and is generous with her time and advice. My son can simply not wait for his lessons!"
Diane T, Cambs

"Debs is a great teacher and we love playing the piano more than ever. She has made our lessons such fun that we want to practise all the time. Under the watchful eye of Debs we have improved tremendously in the past 3 months."
Arabella & Zachary Lees, Somersham

"Hi your lesson this wednesday was so cool and I liked the music we played and you are really good at piano!"
Bryony Eacott, Leighton Bromswold

"Friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Deborah's website completely reflects her personality. She has been extremely supportive to an adult beginner on the clarinet, going out of her way to be helpful in sourcing a suitable instrument and other resources. She has also given my 6 year old son an excellent introduction to the sax. I'm looking forward to years of tuition!"
Sue Oliver, Willingham

"Debs taught my daughter until we moved away in 2008 - Rebecca went from being a complete beginner to the proud owner of a distinction at Grade 5 clarinet in less than 4 years. Debs is fun and friendly and my daughter loves her...even now she still asks when we can move back so that she can restart her lessons! Also worth mentioning is that Debs is a superb performer in her own right  - look up the Wyton Band's next concert and go along. Then you'll understand why I'm recommending Debs to teach you or your child."
James Lloyd, Nottingham (was Brampton)

"My 7 year old son Harry was keen to play the Cornet. Debs made it possible for Harry to try other instruments and we even borrowed Debs' own Cornet before we eventually bought our own. Debs comes to our house for 1/2 hour once a week; her one-to-one teaching and gentle encouragement has resulted in Harry not only progressing well but really enjoying it. As a parent it's gratifying to see your son 'reading' the notes and we both look forward to Debs' 1/2 hour - as Harry puts it "Debs is just great"."
Caroline Douthwaite, Houghton

"My son (now 14) and I have both had lessons with Debs for 5 years.  The lessons are relaxed and fun.  We've learnt a lot over that time.  I've recommended Debs to 5 other people so far and all have been impressed."
Tracey Green, Earith

"Deb is the best music teacher ever! She is lots of fun & she is awesome!!!!"
Felicity Ford, Glatton

"Debs played [piano] for the Summer Ball 2009 at RAF Wyton Warrant Officers' and Sergeants' Mess.  She played as part of the evening which was themed as 'Hollywood and the Oscars'. She was truly outstanding; in the skill and enthusiasm with which she played and her repertoire of music.  Her performance was greatly received by all who attended and definitely provided a focus for the theme of the event.
I cannot recommend her enough; value for money, skill and quality. Many thanks."
SSgt Paul Duffin MBE, Entertainments Chairman, RAF Wyton WO & SNCO Mess
